Working with Dr Damian
Going to see a counsellor for the first time can feel a bit scary. You might be unsure about what to talk about, how to express your feelings, or you may worry that you won’t be taken seriously. It’s completely normal to have these kinds of thoughts.
While we won’t be able to talk through all of these worries until we meet, I can help ease some of your practical concerns.
You can choose when and where to have your therapy sessions—whether at home, in your car, or while walking. This choice helps ensure your privacy and comfort. You can find a safe space that fits your situation, so you don’t have to worry about being seen entering a therapist’s office. Plus, not having to travel makes things much more convenient.
I work to provide all the necessary information on my website to help you feel more at ease.
About working with Dr Damian
There should be no surprises for clients when they come to see a counsellor: except for the changes they feel as a result of the work we do together. In this section, I provide details of what to expect in the first few sessions.
The Counselling Contract
The Counselling Contract is a major document that we agree between us, it provides the basis for what you can expect of me and what I expect of you. It is a binding document, and needs to be read and agreed before we start work.
